  • Replacement Brake Disks

Has anyone tried the EBC replacement brake disks that they have for the XS11? Bike Bandit has them listed on their site under aftermarket parts, and the price sounds good and the advertised increase in braking power sounds good as well. I'm thinking about gathering my pennies together to get a set, but was hoping for some feedback before spending over $500 for new brake disks.

I have a set of them but no actual use yet. They are for my hop up bike that is being built now. They are very light, full floating and well made. check bike bandit's user input from previous buyers of the disc's.

Michael Morse can hook you up! Look at what he has and give him a call. If you have a XS1100 standard it is identical to the XS650. The Special still uses the same rotors.

          Hey CY,

I'm not poo-pooing the rotors, but if you are having braking issues and want stronger better brakes, then putting on Stainless Steel braided lines will be the best mod you can do! The old oem lines get spongy, expand during braking, and leave you with a spongy lever, and less than optimum pressure to the pads. The new lines will give you the braking affect you are missing....IF you still have the OEM lines! You should be able to get a set for under $200. The Oem rotors will be just fine as long as if they are not warped!!
