    If you just look at Bernoilis law for fluid mechanics, you not looking at the whole picture. While it is true that the vacuum pressure begins at the inlet and all of that, there is something to be said of resonance. This is the same concept on the exhaust side of the engine where tuned pipes make a difference when mufflers are not used (racing). The velocity stacks that TC made are probably effective because of that. It has something to do with reflective pressure waves.
