I am getting ready to install my oil thermostat to my cooler and don't remember which line coming from the housing is out and which is in..? Anyone?

    Hey Jesse,

If your cooler is the OEM style with the fittings at 180 degrees apart, then according to my photos of one I had and sent to PlainDick, the outflow comes from the fitting on the right side of the adapter as it's mounted on the bike/engine , right side as you sit on bike! HTH?

Hmmm... Maybe mine isn't OEM..my outlets are a lot less than 180 degrees...probably closer to 90... but it comes out the left side and back in on the right. You'll be able to tell for sure if you drop your filter cup.. but you probably don't want to do that if at all possible.

You could attach the lines, bump the starter a few times and see which line it (The oil) comes out??

Mine is like yours tr. Mine are at like 90-100 degrees apart and when I disconnected the lines, I got a lot more oil (over a cup) out of the left side line.
