I'm in hot pursuit of knocking out all the little jobs needed to get my 80 SG rolling. Took the front wheel off yesterday among other things and thought I would work on the calipers when the weather turned, which it did.
Read that tip about using a grease gun to push the caliper out. I've done a fair amount of backyard wrenching and that is one of the slickest tricks I've ever used. I was trying to twist it out and making poor progress. About 15 seconds of pumping the mini grease gun and it was out. Slick!

I learned that trick over 20 years ago, and it has never failed. If compressed air won't do the job, the grease gun will! If your M/C is in good shape, you can just pump the piston out that way, just keep an eye on the fluid level, don't let it run out or you will lose all pressure, and will have to bleed the system again.
