  • Mike's XS COIL CONVERSION.

HOWDY PEOPLE IN FAR AWAY LAND. I just thought i would let you know i have just put Mike's xs coils on my xs1100e 78 model using T"C 's great coil conversion thread ..I found out that the standard frame must be different shape as the coils bolted straight up to where the old ones came from (no need to make brackets) but as yet have not taken her for a spin can't wait..TOP SITE TOP PEOPLE.

I put the coils on my '79 standard with no problems. re-used the old mount bolts and all! My other "mod" was to fit the NGK plug caps with NO RESISTOR. I now use the "standard" resistor spark plugs. As they are the same plug used in some four cyl. Honda automobiles, I can buy new plugs any place, and cheap.
