I'm not sure how many of you folks are looking for a good mechanic in the NH area but I found one. I met this guy named Mike a couple of weeks ago and he is now working on my XS1100SH. I gave the guy my engine head and was a bit embarrassed about how filthy it was...oil, grime, dog hair from my shedding freak German Shepherd. The head had been sitting in a chair in my dining room for about 6 months.
The guy is going nut working on it and showed me it the other day to show what he had done so far. The thing looked just about new, totally clean.
So if any of you are looking for someone to work on your bikes, I'll let you know how things turn out but so far I am highly impressed, a whole lot more than I was when Yamaha worked on my SG last summer. Mike gets right into it where as Yamaha sat around for a month before touching my bike.
FYI, figured I need to say this, I don't work with Mike and I don't make any money off of his work. I do not have a motorcycle repair business. Just thought I'd share this info in case anyone was interested.
This is Mike's 79 XS1100 turbo charged and bored out.
