    Sod Off Phil

    To be geographically correct...lol.

I've heard Vista is a work in progress on some items. Perhaps this is one of them. The systems acros the pond might not be Vista friendy, instead of not being Phil friendly.

I used to surf that site for hours on end up until about 3-4 mos. ago when it stopped working. Maybe I've used up my guest hours.

Yeah Vista with IE8 so maybe I'll try compatibility mode and then try Firefox.

Tried compatibility mode in IE8 and then Firefox and no joy with either. I'm guessing that it's either IP range or ISP although it doesn't work with my work VPN either. I may try my Verizon broadband modem and see if I can get in with that.

I was there yesterday for the first time in months. It worked fine. After lurking for a bit I logged in. Again no issue. I just checked again (I'm still logged in), and I had no problems opening any of the six boards I tried.

I can access the site, ok, didn't try to register, and I am running Vista Bus Ed.

If you look down at the S&S 4 into one, the muffler looks just like the S&S's I have, only I have a 4-2 system.

First time I saw any reference to S&S for the xs1100 other than the ones that were on my G.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

There isn't a limit on guests viewing the XS1100 UK forum, it's open to all. We've got members running with different browsers and on XP, Vista, Macs, even thru mobile phones and it works for them.

Unfortunately, like most forums (this one included) we've had some spammers in the past and so I've blocked some IP address ranges. This is a crude way of stopping the bad guys and sometimes the innocent get caught in the same net.

So, Phil and Cy: sorry you couldn't get in, it's nothing personal I assure you ! I'll have a look at the forum logs to see why, it would help if you could PM or email me with the error message you get and your IP address if you know it. Thanks.

Madmax-in: grief accepted, your original pic has been removed. I see you've registered and posted a different pic in that thread now, do you mind if we use that one ?

Strange thing is that today from work I was able to get in from my work computer and from a VM I use for testing but not from my laptop which is what I use normally. It doesn't seem to be IP address related as one computer works and 3 others do all coming from the same public IP address.

So it puzzling is that the IP address doesn't seem to matter for my laptop, and neither does the browser. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out what is causing it and all.

Able to view the UK XS11 site again

For all of us who couldn't view the UK site, it seems to be working again, at least for me. Thank you to whoever (Lamric?) corrected the problem.

x2 looks identical to my kerker, but cleaner, and less dents. I just shot a couple quick pics of my silencer only for a comparison:

Also, the uk site worked fine for me, I'm using Mac Firefox

I ended up buying the exhaust and it isn't like that kerker.

The silencer is bent like that in the middle, but is stubby in comparison and the mounting tab is different.

The header its self is make from some heavy wall tubing, compared to most i have seen. It is pitted in places, and the PO painted it with BBQ paint. Of course the baffle has been drilled out, since people seem to think this makes things better.

I am thinking of getting the pits brazed in and ceramic paint on it. Then find some way to buff up the silencer, its pretty rusty. I may just put a Cherry Bomb on it to offend Tod.
