Fuel Guage not working

Any1's fuel guage fail on them? Troubleshooting from the book points me to the fuel guage voltage regulator in the tach. (<7volts on the green wire to ground from the tach harness) Any1 have to replace this b4? If so, part source please. Thanks.....Phil

I had that exact same part go bad on my 80 standard, I got one from a list member for $9.00. The best thing to do is ask for a smashed or broken tach, usually they will send it to you for shipping, and probably the regulator is good.
