replacement shocks

Has anyone heard of a company named OXON that manufacters shocks for the older bikes?
Anyone use them?
Any feedback will be appreciated as I am about to replace them.
The budget has been restricted by the 'better half', so what else is new.

Oxon, or Ikon?

Maybe your looking for Ikon? They are Australian built copies of Koni - who apparently sold the design, tools etc to the OZ company when they stopped building these shocks - within the last couple of years anyway.
There was some discussion about these on another thread a few weeks ago, which progressed into (I presume) products which are available in the US.

The factory - Proven Products - is just down the road from me in Albury. I bought a set of their chrome shocks for my 'G' as part of the re-build. Haven't got the bike on the road yet, hopefully within the next couple of months - I've spent about $1000 in the last couple of weeks on bikes, so I need some more O/T to pay for it. They also sell a cheaper un-chromed set.

If you go this way, make sure you get the sleeve for the eyelet on the brake side. The bolt is narrower than the stud on the crown wheel case.

Over there I would think Hagon shocks would be the cheaper alternative. Do they have what you need?

A update on the OXON shocks. A set of hagon shocks will set me back £119.00 and a set of oxon £72.00 both sets delivered to Dublin. From all the information that I have gathered from this site it seems that most owners on budget restraints would opt for the hagons. Maybe I should wait till the better half 'allows' a budget increase to spend on she calls my TOY.

I have been looking at the Hagons myself, they seem to be very good for the money. Let us know your experience if/when you get them.

The OXON shocks look the same as the cheapie Taiwanese made shocks sold by JC Whitney in the states for $70. OXON is probably just the name used by the UK importers. I got a set once for my 750 Seca. They work OK, nothing special.
