    XS650 interchange

Most XS650s have BS38 carburetors. The late models have BS34s like our XS1100. I'm not sure what year the switch was made on the 650. I have a '79 with BS38s and an '81 with BS34s. I would guess that the carbs will interchange if they are the same carb on the same year model bike. I say this because I have a '83 XS650 with BS34s and the choke is different than what is on my XS1100 or '81 XS650.

    I hope this helps.

Right now is a great time to try and acquire carbs off of eBay. However, beware of "part" carbs, as the reason that they are for parts is VERY often that they have broken float posts, or frozen pilots jets/idle screws.
