I only used 10 psi and that was enough to push the piston out.Any more than that and i think that it could break a bone if you don't move your hand.

Yikes, man! Tell me you didn't hapen to see the numerous posts that talk about the high risk of freeing a stuck piston with air pressure. With a really stuck piston, I think there would a chance to do more than just break a bone. I'll bet you could sever a digit or two.

I've done it that way too, but made sure I had a shop rag all bunched up between the piston and the caliper body, and made #@$% sure I had my fingers and hands well away from the area. I did one over at the local gas station and when it came out, it was violent enough to draw attention from bystanders!

Yes i saw the posts.My hand was holding the caliper and was clear of the piston-but for anyone thinking this procedure is fun and wants to see how far it goes it is not.It is very dangerous and yes you could lose a finger or two.Or even worse!
