will be doing the calipers this evening (making sure to clear the crud).

Ras, absolutely loved the pillow tale (mine are hidden in one of the paint supply tubs in MY garage, FYI, chenille does a better job of absorbing brake fluid than silk does). In Texas cars don't belong in Garages, bikes do!!

DS, got any pics? was thinking about a similar paint scheme for a bike I bought to play with (it's in cleveland but when I get it (sometime in the spring probably unless the gods smile on me somehow) I was thinking about some kind of yamaha does vincent black and gold color theme and yours sound pretty neat)

a previous thread mentioned a home powder coat kit. Anybody got any experience with these?
    Texas Rookie - NW Houston

04 Ducati ST4s (current daily driver, recently retired from occasional track bike duty, too $cary to think about crashing)
2001 Suzuki SV650 track bike (setting up for some adult fun next year)
newest acquisition - Black on Black 78 XS11 with 81 motor waiting patiently in Cleveland Ohio (Insanity!!!...no thanks I've got plenty)

probably won't get to the caliper tear-down till after Christmas, but you've all helped me get started. Thanks.
79xs11f - ugly as sin after sitting in a garage for 12 years, but rumbles like the beast that it is.
