It's time for a new front tire and my neiborhood Yamaha dealer says that a Dunlop F11 tire is just what I want. Has anyone had experience with these tires? The price of $64.99 sounds good.

These are the old Qualifiers, seen on every Japanese bike in the 80's.
F11 is the front tire only.
One site said this: Dunlop F11 to be used with Dunlop K627 rear tire. For cruisers and older Japanese standard motorcycles.
Let the other members know what you think of them, they sound like they would work.
Rear looks to be about $10 more than front.Gary Granger

Thanks Gary. I have a K627 on the rear now so it will probably be a good match for it. Now, do I want to try to change it and balance it myself, or spend the $31 + tax that the dealer wants. I'm a sucker for punishment, so I guess I will try it.Bill Murrin

Hey there Bill,
Once you have the wheel off, change it yourself, inflate it, then take it to the dealer for balancing OFF the bike, should only cost about $6.00, then put it back on your machine, and pocket the $25.00 !!! That's what I did when I changed mine!

I just did both tires. I went with Bridgestone Spitfire S11 for front and rear. I purchased them from dennis kirk, while my mechanic was installing them he said the front tire was bowed and it gave him much trouble installing it. He said dennis kirk was to blame, because the tire may have sat for a while. he got them to balance perfectly. IMO the tires are sticky, smooth running, and do well on grooved roads. Not too expensive either.
REAR note: when I purchased I paid about 75.00 each
