  • side cover rubbers and motor mounts

My side cover mounting rubbers are getting so tattered that the tops of the side covers flop out when I ride. They are the round type, any idea where to find new ones?

Also, my motor mounts are getting to the point they don't hold the engine in place very well any more, the ridges are worn down, and I have rotated them, which doesn't seem to help. I have seen some replacement motor mounts for the venture that are solid, and wouldn't be very difficult to fabricate for an XS, would this be ok or would it vibrate too much?

    side cover mounts

I recently bought new side cover mount rubbers. They are available new from Yamaha. Also, some of them are available reproduction where they match the XS650. www.mikesxs.com

    I bought mine from here:
    http://www.yamahasportscenter.com/

www.boats.net has good prices as well.

You may try these for engine mounts.

If you go to the Yamaha site (There's even a link to it above the part number search..) and get an actual part number to what you want, you can copy and paste that part number here...

They have a lot of hard to find parts.
