    XJ1100 help please needed.

    I need to know the thickness of the part that holds the air filter up in place, in a XJ1100 air box. It is number 26 in the picture.

    Too small to see it

    Larry cant even read the numbers ..wish I had the old airbox...long gone I'm afraid.... Oh wait I have an the airbox off an '81 Special...anyone know if its the same animal???

      I get .597 when I measure over the little plastic "braces" in the part. About .580 at the wedge end of the part.

        Almost forgot...

        Bottom is wider than the top.....Bottom .871....Top .717...

        Really, thats what mine measures.. Plastic so who really knows.

          I am working on a something that would be a replacement for the stock air filter on the XJ1100. I have all of the original air box parts except part #26. With the dimensions you provided, I can now make one.
