does the wheels on the xj swap onto the xs ok?

The front will, but I'm not sure of the rear. The Standard XS is a 17" rear, but the Special is a 16", with different spacers. I know if you swap spacers and all, the rims WILL swap. I don't know the rear rim size on the XJ, sorry.Ray Matteis

ok, the xs1100 had 17" rear and special 16" rear right? was there a size difference on the xj of any sort?
this is just a crafty way to find an applicable wheel for my other bike, but i know the xs1100 special wheel works

Not that I know of...
I think they are the same size front (19") and rear (16") as the Specials...
John says that the Maxim wheels fit perfectly on Twilite ('80 Special)... so.. yep... same size...81 SH Something Special
