running rough

ok when the bike first starts. it runs fine a couple of miles down the road. it spit and sputters then occasionally kicks in. now the intakes are cracked but i dont knoiw if its allthe way thru. are there any other things that could cause this. that i can look into

Have you dipped the carbs yet by chance? A lot of running problems can be related to dirty/gummed up carbs. Does the bike continue to run or does it stall out? How do the plugs look?
