carb boots finished
Hi, Thanks for all the good information. I used the ford 2.3 l thermostat gaskets with number 1 permatex on both surfaces and it sealed everything like new. I resynched the carbs and set the idle and my Jersey bike (78 standard) runs like a new one. I had one in 78 so I know what one is supposed to run like. Jersey has a fairing but runs so good now she doesn't feel the added 25-30 pounds. If anyone has a problem with one running good definitely check for vacuum leaks. It's an easy fix.
