Tire Pressure in Storage

Some say more - manufacturer's spec + 5%
Some say less - running pressure less 20 %
Last year I supported my tires off the ground and inflated to pressure on tire .
What do you do ?

Leave the air in them and keep them off the ground.I put a 2 by 4 under the front and rear wheels.The one winter i didn't the tires were like rocks and didn't soften up after the winter was over.They were basically garbage.Someone told me the reason you don't let all the air out is that when you finally put air in them they might develop cracks in thee sidewalls.

Strange

The one front tire I still have from last year is weather-checked a bit and it was new that season . I dont know if that is related but I was surprised to see that . It had about 40 lbs in it all last winter .
