I could use a set too. I will probably settle for a generic set since they are a discontinued item.

I had the same problem. I wanted my XJ to be as close to original as possible and of course the only item I was missing were both horns. One came with the bike (left side) when I bought it. Right side had broken off long ago. I had looked everywhere with no luck. I eventually found the right side horn on e-bay with just enough of the bracket left to have a friend weld all the pieces together to make one whole bracket. He also reinforced the bracket (as this is the weak point to begin with) and I now have two horns (although it now sounds like a volkswagen). It took me 8 months to find the pieces to put together and I may by the only XJ 1100 owner with both horns but the bike is as close to "showroom" as I can get it. Keep an eye on e-bay, these items do come up from time to time. Good Luck!

        XJ Horns

I have both horns but neither one works. They do look great though. I've tried a variety of salvage yards but none have anu XJ's it seems that we have a relatively rare bike.

          Michael:

If you have both horns and the bracket your half way there! I would have the bracket reinforced with a piece of steel along the top. It will eventually fail if you don't. If both horns don't work you may have an electrical problem either in the wiring or the horn button. You will need to check that out. Whatever you do don't toss the horns! I had the same problem with the horn I just bought off of e-bay. After a complete cleaning it came back to life. If you have power to the horns I would recommend tearing into the horns and make sure any corosion is cleaned. It is hard to explain without being there but once you completely take them apart it will be apparant what needs to be cleaned. I would clean all non-painted metal parts with acetone (use a q-tip to get the hard to reach places). Pay close attention to what looks like a set of points in the center section. I believe there needs to be a good connection. One other thing, the horns seem to pull a lot of power and mine work better with the engine running. Hope this helps.

have you checked out the link to Speed & Sport that someone else posted? They have some good NOS parts there. I just ordered the horn that I am missing (btw, the web site is wrong on the price of one of them. Both are 54.18 ea ).
