Engine breather?

Howdy Folks; ive been getting water in the oil of the XS11( ive heard of water cooling but not like this). im guessing it gets in via the Air Box & down the Crankcase breather? Is there any easy fix for the breather like a one way valve on the hose???......any ideas

Why do you think that you're getting water in the oil?
Is there evidence of water in the airbox?

It's rare, but I've seen something similar before.
The whole inside of the engine was coated with that white goo... evidence of water in the oil.
Cause:
The guy rode his bike to work each day, rain or shine. He only lived about 5/10 miles from work. Normal moisture in the air... which usually heats up and evaporates.. had no chance to do so... as the bike was never running long enough to fully warm up. Hence, water vapor was constantly condensating on the cold surfaces inside the engine.

Ive had that white mayonaissey goo in cars( from only driving short distances as you described---its usually only a little under the oil filler cap)
but on the XS was obviously worse ..as the mechanic pointed out.I flushed the engine, & tried to avoid riding in downpours.
When this was happening I was riding in traffic about 15 miles for a good 30 mins.
I guess pod filters would fix it? & a valve thingymebob on the breather??

If you have a good condition gasket between the air box upper and lower half's it should be pretty difficult for water to get in there. Even if the bottom of the air box has holes drilled in it the breather hose attach's up top.
Perhaps the hose itself is split or in rough condition where it attach's to the engine. Do you have the O-ring in place on the oil filler cap? Cam chain adjuster end seal is sealing properly?
