Since my glowing header problem, I have been curious. What is the average temp of the headers with properly tuned carbs. Has anyone put a sensor on to find out? Inquiring mind wants to know.

I get 400 to 450ºF with my infrared temp gun when I rev it with no load.Ich habe dich nicht gefragt. -
Thanks Ivan. Went up one size in my pilot jets, made sure my starter jets were clear, and my pilot needle hadn't broken off. Header stopped glowing. Guess something worked1979XS1100SF
