  • fuel warning light

Well, my fuel warning light has quit working.

81 Special, pretty much stock, no electrical mods except a new fuse block

I checked all fuses, the bulb and even shorted the terminals of the plug and no light.

It looks as if the wires are black and brown. I can't be sure as I am colorblind. I tested either one for voltage and found none on one and about half a volt on the other. I am fairly sure I have a broken wire somewhere, or another loose connection. Does this connector trace to another connector that I need to check?

I really don't want to strip my wiring harness down, would rather pinpoint and only do minor surgery.

You know that search thingy is pretty nifty. Now why didn't I think of it?

Turned out being a loose connection in the headlight dish. ?shrug?
