Engine Rattle

Hi I have just brought a 2004 XS 1100 Dragstar which has only covered 3200 miles. The bike has a rattle coming from inside the engine casing,the dealership from where i got the bike said they would need to strip the clutch down after they had done this they are saying the rattle is still there, they are saying that they have serviced a couple of these bikes before and they both rattled so it must just be the way they are. Anybody else had or got the same problem?

Uhmm.. this site basically pertains to Yamaha XS and XJ 1100's, from 1978 to 1982
Now, unless one of the members here happens to have a Dragstar, or a V Star, as we call them here... I'm afraid there'll be little info coming your way.

Not that you're not welcome here...but our expertise isn't on those machines.
