hey there folks....i have been sitting here in the rain (like the most of you) thinking....for me that is a dangerous thing to do....i notice that the humidity in our house jumped up to 95%......and stayed there for almost 12 hours.....(sorry, no central air).....thinking about the "rebel devil" sitting out in the man cave all lonely and such.....how much would humidity like this effect the motor......maybe some people in such places as Washington or other wet places (even UK) can offer some ideas.....that much water in the air can not be good for proper performance if the engine runs at all.....fuel/air mixtures have to suffer.....i know the "rebel devil" is not a submarine, but have run her for 75 miles straight, in a total downpour and road spray, with the mrs on the back.....but the humidity was definitely lower then now.....see what happens when i sit inside, in the rain, and think......hope 2 hear some comments.....talk 2 ya later...ross

humidity
Hey Ross, I live in a very humid climate and I never run into any problems whatsoever with fuel mixtures. I must say, during the winter months when the temp. drops down to 50 for a day or two , the bikes run a bit better. Probably due to better atomization of the fuel mixture.2H7 (79) owned since '89

Plus
The colder air is more dense and expands more. Adding moisture adds to the expansion too.You can't stay young forever, but you can be immature for the rest of your life...
