  • Need more electrical know how for rear turn signals

Ok i just removed that bar that has the two rear turn signals mounted to the license plate. I realized that there is only one wire per turn signal. The single filament bulbs i bought have two wires. One hot and one ground wire. There is only one wire per turn signal sticking out of the rear fender. There should be two wires right?

If you look, you will find that the stock ones ground to the frame, and thus, do not have a second wire

      New signals:
      One wire hot.
Take the second one... and if you want to be cheap about it, back out a nearby bolt, wrap the wire around it and then retighten for the ground. (Might want to smear a little black RTV over it when done to help prevent corrosion on the wire.)
