what's the ref. for xj11 oil filter?

did oil change, one of the filter rubber ring broke

I wonder who would carry the filter in this town and what to name it

in the meantime it is back on, poorly but I still need to ride to the store!

      O-Ring

New one may look a little small, but after it's been installed for a while will swell up some.

it's not the o-ring, it is one of the rubber washers that make the side walls of the filter and that are sliding on the center tube

Check with LVTom before you go - then stop in and say hi while you're there. He can show you some pretty interesting stuff in the Luxor/Mandalay Bay neighborhood

                Be Prepaired

Good idea to take along a few extra tools, duck tape etc....
May be a tec tip about recommended stuff to pack.
Totally sucks to be in the middle of NO WHERE and bike crap out over something minor.

yeah like fuses... I am more worried about the clutch cable...

to tell you the truth I changed oil and checked the levels, don't want to touch anything that ain't broke yet

but I'll put together some tools and stuff along in order to avoid AAA moto assistance towing my ride for something minor

how often should the air pressure in the suspensions (front & rear) be checked?

Should be checked at least every week.

Think I checked my tire pressure last month
and I don't use any air in the forks.

I vary from 800 to 2,000 miles per month riding.
I check oil level every couple days and l at least look at my tires every time I start out from the house as well as checking the lights.

Fram quit making these filters recently. They may still have one in stock, but I'd buy what they had if they do.

As MRO stated, they should be able to cross reference something, but here's some other numbers you could try:

                      STP # SMO-02
                      Wix 24933
                      Napa Gold series #4933

Also... Partsnmore.com has the filters for just $4, but there's a $35 minimum order. It's pretty easy to get to that minimum if you just look around a bit on there! lol

Good luck on the ride. I'd avoid the strip on nights and weekends with an air cooled bike. Of course.. I avoided the strip at all times when I lived there! lol.
