  • what do I have?

I was in the process of ordering parts for my bike when i noticed that the title for my bike says xs1100. it is a 1982 model year, and everything else checks out for it to be an xj100, and from what i can gather the air filter for this year is for this year only and i had no trouble ordering that. i just don't want to run into trouble ordering rebuild kits for the calipers and master cylinders. hopefully someone can help on this. cause my local dealer doesn't employ anyone who can help, they can't even get the right rebuild kits for anything brake related.

If its an '82 its gotta be an XJ1100 as in Maxim. If you could post a pic that would make it easier.Last year for the XS was '81 thereafter it was the XJ.

it says maxim on the side covers and the numbers are correct for an xj, i just wanted to make sure i didn't have a late model year bike or half model year bike that would be hard to find the right parts for. thanks for the help. hopefully i can get some pics posted soon, even though its not much to look at right now.
