XJ1100 Fork Seals

Question : Is the disapearance of air pressure from the front forks mean I will need to do the fork seals soon ?
I couldnt find a tech tip on this procedure although I know I've read a lot about it here .
If air can leak - will fork oil soon follow ?

When I first got my XJ, back in '99, it would loose air pressure in the front forks. However, I never had any oil leaks that I could see. Within about 8 month, though, I had progressive front spring installed and after that no longer ran any air in the front. Fork seals are still the ones that were on the bike in '99.

Not necessarrily. They tend to leak around the fittings at the top of the fork and the part that wraps around the top of the fork. There are two o rings in each that get dry. I pulled mine off the last time I had my front wheel of and put some o ring grease on them. Seems to have helped.

I have fork oil dripping out of the air valve when I check the pressure . Is this normal ?
All connections and hose seem dry .
