We Both See Red
Thanks for responding because now I know I'm not nuts after all about this red gasket deal. When I called Wiseco and told them the gasket I had gotten in November of 07 was red and the ones I had just gotten were gray, they said they didn't know anything about a red gasket and suggested I call Cometic which I did. They said they had never made a red one. I have since called Vance&Hines and they said the red gaskets were made by Victor and were a superior gasket to the current gray CFM-20 type made by Cometic. I don't know which one is best but I have them all and I have a red one in my motor and so now that I know you got a red one in your kit I'll quit worrying about it and move on. I take pictures of everything when I take it out of the box and I knew I wasn't crazy but was afraid that in old age I was going color blind. Thanks a lot for your info. Dan

I still have not got the kit installed and so the gasket hangs on the wall in the garage. It makes a great talking point when I have got folks in the garage. They want to know all about the weird color gasket and could care less about the 1964 Mercedes in the corner!
