I am fairly sure that the Virago had the V-Twin engines. Although I could be wrong

Looks a lot like my XJ1100 maxim. If you look inbetween the 2nd and 3rd exhaust pipes. right where the cooling fins start above the engine case, you will see a stamp (raised casting mark) if it's an 1100 it will say 1101cc or 750 may say 749cc. the rear shocks look a little differant than mine though.

83 or possibly 84 XJ 750. 82 models had adjustable handlebars like XJ 1100.

OK when you snooze you lose, this poped up on CL and I just happened by it and called first. He called it a 750 Virtigo in his ad.
I knew better and should have taken my trailer and the 400.00 he was asking a picked it up. When I called back it had been sold. Thanks for responding guys.

They do look alike.. but look at the shifter cover and final drive casings. Completely different. makes me wonder if that exhaust could be made to work on an 1100 though?

What's with the voltage regulator just hanging there by the rear footpeg?

I saw a Virago today and was wondering about the bikes. From what i saw it was a V-twin and also the exhaust was one pipe sticking out of the front.Lots of chrome and i looked at the plate attached on the frame by the steering.Said it was manufactured in 8 1985 and was curious about the size. The owner didn't even know what size it was.Can anyone help? Round headlight and teardrop tank and the turn signals were rubber mounted. Not like ours bike along them lines.

I am looking at those small calipers, for a bike with a quoted 75hp I am thinking it will definitely need some SS in the brake line department.
