  • Good deal on a 79.

    If I had a truck I would buy this but I don't, so I thought I would pass it on.

        Heck for 75 bucks I'd consider pushing it home if it was close by.

        Stock air box/K&N Filter, MAC 4-2 exhaust, Bad-Boy Air horn, TC fuse box, Windshield, Soft bags, Vetter Fairing, Blinkers->Run/Turn/Brake Lights, Headlight Modulator, hard wire GPS power

        Short Stack - 1981 xs1100 Standard - lowered for SWMBO.

          hey bampa
          i live about 4 miles from there
          i saw it on craigs list
          and i went over and looked at it
          bike hasn't been run in years
          lots of oxidation on the aluminum
          carbs and octopus and air cleaner are off of it
          i talked to the wife husband wasn't home
          he rebuilt the carbs, but didn't have them back on the bike
          i have 3 standards so it is usless to me
          if you are interested in it
          i can pick it up for you
          then you can come get it at your leasure

                I'm in Washington, thanks for offering but I dont have a job atm and I'm leaving for college in 4 days. If anyone does get this and wants to sell the exhaust I have a job lined up when I go to CT for a few weeks and if you still have it and want to sell it pm me please. Also if it's and SF I would be interested in teh wiring harness too.

                      I would love to purchase the side covers when/if you grab this gem. I need left side, pops needs right side. Yea we both have 79 Specials. It's kind of cool, we both have 4 to 1 exhaust and when we run together it sounds like a swarm of pissed off hornets.

                        Hi Willy,
                        if you get this thing and if you decide to part it out I really need the rim from a round headlight or would buy the complete bucket. I could also be tempted by an exhaust system that was in better shape than mine.
