Oil light

    Oil light

    I have recntly had the oil changed.
    since then when i start up the bike(1982 xj 1100 maxum)
    the oil light keeps flashing for about 2 min. then it goed off.
    the oil level is fine.
    any ideas

    Did you change the filter as well. I find my XJ takes a bit more regardless of a filter change or not. Typically I half to put 3-3/4 liters w/o filter change and the full 4 liters with a filter change, other wise the light comes on and off intermittently. XJ's use an oil level sensor as opposed to the XS's pressure switch.
