Man that was a lot of fun! Your bike is damn nicer in person! The pictures do it no justice.

And thanks for turnen me on to mikesxs.com! That site is awesome! I've already got a shopping cart started! Time to spend some money! Hopefully the girlfriend won't find out there won't be a seat for her on there much longer! hahahaha! Oh well.

But yeah i've decided to go with the drag bar style handle bars so i don't have to screw with changing out cables and lines and what not. Instead the drag bars should allow me to just bolt things on and go. And i want to get some other stuff too! Like that 50's style fender mount led light with the tag mount on it! SCORE!! That site is FREAKEN AWESOME!! I'm gonna go broke soon but i don't care! hahaha!

Anyone have a control switch for an xs1100 yamaha 79 model? I need the left side with the headlight switch on it. My little black piece that you flip up or down for the headlight came off goen down the road the other day!
Yes it's a damn nice bike, yes it's in REALLY good condition, yes it would be a shame to chop it, BUT damn how cool would it look with ape hangers?

That looks like a Diamond High Miler in king/queen. Does it have a fiberglass pan it, if does, that is probably what it is. They are a very comfortable seat, especially if you and the PO are about the same size and weight.

No matter what exhaust tuo put on that bike it wont sound like a harley if that is what you are thinking by cruiser. But I'm sure you will get used to it.These are awesome bikes.
I have installed harley mufflers, (free from a co-worker)
put them on the stock head pipes and collectors, no crossover,
it kinda sounds like a sand rail...I little attitude, but not loud at all, I really wouldn't mind a little rumble, kinda like a set of dual turbo mufflers on a chevy 350,

        Yeah, I know I'm reaching

        good luck, John
