Thx, Masher and Gearhd,
I really value your input ... interesting what you're both saying about the guns.
My situation where I live at, however, is just not conducive to painting. Lots of broken up ground ... dust and dirt up the kaazoo ... Although I have painted a few cars and am familiar with the process, I just can't imagine anything but a bad result or a big waste of time doing this one myself.
Thx, Paintman for the offer as well.
I have just now gotten a price of 750 bucks for EVERYTHING ... shop has credentials ... and I think that's alot more reasonable than the 12 or 15 hundred I've been quoted so far ...

.. I'm already over my comfort level in XS11s .... but .... hell, .... why not just use the settlement money to put an down pmt on a condo with a garage and then rattle can that sucker?
.. so it sits, lonely, in a dark corner by itself, surronded by road cases and black widows. Sniff Sniff. A pretty sore subject with me since the owner here was s'posed to set up an 'auto shop' when I moved in and never has. So I work outside, in the heat or whatever; ducking into a bit of shade here or there ... it kinda' sucks, frankly. On the other hand, I know there are some guys here on this site that don't even have ANYplace to work on anything, so I don't mean to sound ungrateful.
