  • Awesome xs11 chopper!! (yall may hate it!)

I know i know the xs1100's are not choppers there just bikes you ride. Well not mine. The sole purpose of this bike for me was to have an old school chopper/bobber bike to ride to work and around town on. Now i saw this guy on youtube do a burnout clip. From what i could tell i LOVED the bike. But now i like it even more! Anyways, it may not be yall's cup of tea but i sure like it! And i want mine to be like this only with **cough cough ape hangers cough cough**.

Anyways, i'm not sure how to post pic's but here it is (i hope)...

Yes it's a damn nice bike, yes it's in REALLY good condition, yes it would be a shame to chop it, BUT damn how cool would it look with ape hangers?

Does that thing have any suspension at all on the back end? Seems like that would be a real painfull ride even with the springs on the seat

Looks like you did a lot cleaning-up the welds on the frame. Though I'm not a fan of hardtails, the lines blend nicely.

Anyone know where to get a tank like that? Is it a factory tank off another bike or what?

Looks like a honda cb 650/750 tank late 70's. Could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

I really like it. I don't know if I could take the plunge though, I love the way the rear suspension works. I'm thinking black shocks from MikesXS will be my next purchase. What consideration did you take with drive shaft allighnment? Just set it at about the level it would of been with a rider on it?

The fuel tank is from a Harley Sprint from the looks of it and the one hook that holds the rear of the tank down. The Super Glide tank looks just like it, except it has two hooks under the bottom/ back of it and the filler cap sits lower.
I love those tanks, they look good on anything and to think, people took those off and threw them away by the hundreds back in the late 70s/ early 80s.

And I dig that exhaust also.

My bobber will look similar to this one, just not so much seat or rear fender. I think Scotts bike is killer lookin too, I'm kinda torn on wich way to go. Scotts bike has gotta be easier to ride.
