Hey guys i just noticed today on this xs11 i've had in my posession for a total of 1.5 days now that i have some kind of oil or whatever it is they put in the forks of a 79 xs11 it's leaking down onto my rotors maken my brake pads almost unusable. So i ordered some fork seals should be here tomorow. How hard are they to put on? I've never done a set of them. Anyone know of a diagram or instillation instructions for this bike? That would really help cause i plan on doing the job tomorow! THanks fellas! Later. josh.

Yes it's a damn nice bike, yes it's in REALLY good condition, yes it would be a shame to chop it, BUT damn how cool would it look with ape hangers? -

Regrettably, we don't have an actual fork seal tech tip!
However, if you'll do a search for "Front Fork Seal" you'll find about 3 pages worth of threads, some will NOT be about doing it, just mentioning it with other discussions, but you will find many with the fork seal in the thread title!! Lots of tips and how to's.
IF you don't have a manual yet, you can see an online version via the links Forum, also you can view an exploded view in the official Yamaha Online Parts Fiche site!
Hope you ordered OEM seals, you'll see/hear about the aftermarket ones in the threads you read!
