    Hey there alive,
did you get the XS that was up for sale on trade me recently?
I managed to get a parts bike myself this week,
A 78 1.1, so the parts are compatable with my 79F. I was accually thinking of you and your project when I bought this and thought that I may be able to help with some bits for yours.
But now it looks like we both have plenty of stock parts to work with.
My deal included a motor that has done a documented 3k miles since a rebuild with the big bore pistons, and a bit of head work.
It was origionally built for a pre80's classic race bike, run once in the race frame to 149mph, then parked by the owner for another race bike.
So Im happy with my deal. I hope you are happy with your deal.

      Hey sub,

Yea won it Sunday... Paid twice what it's worth but now gives me most of what I need.

I saw some of those big bore kits recently... Not cheap but tempting lol.

I have my other project to get out the way before I get on to this one so will most likely be a few weeks before I know what else I need....

What I can see right now is a seat.... Which is a big improvement on my last wish list lol... I'm still going to have to do all the repaint, clean, renew of things like carbs and brakes etc... Biggest problem is it's too bloody cold to paint... Will have to just carry on with the sandblasting instead.

Will definately keep in mind that you have more parts... What are you in need of now?

I dont need anything for mine now.
I boughtthe parts bike that was for sale in Invercargill,
Did a deal with the guy and he delivered it here to Greta Valley.
The bonus was not seen till I looked at the frame,
it has had a side car attached to it at some stage, the brackets are all there
welded to the frame, and in the box of bits.
As I have a side car being held form my by a co worker, this works out well.
Seats ar not easy to come by, may need to get one from Ebay and just pay the price.
Congrats on the 80 special buy, it was only because of incompatable parts that I did not bid on it.

only good for parts, Discs are all past the min thickness, all the brake cylinders are toast, no body work. steering head is shot, chassis once had a side car on it so may not be exactly straight. The wireing loom has been cut in several places. so yeah, a parts bike for sure. And yes the guy did have 2 x 1.1's in the garage, but has sold one, have just a special left.

                  Yup in Auckland.

Went through the box of parts last night... Mint complete brake setup except front master, near new diff, mint handle bar controls, set of shims and a shim tool, couple of alloy rear sets and a few other sweet bits.

Need to crank up the sand blaster and start cleaning and painting... Just have to get this off roader out the way
