  • backfire?

    hello

    what causes the backfiring noise, not really a backfire but more of a popping noise, sounds kinda cool but cant be good for the bike. sounds like small fire crakers

    Steve,

    Some things that can cause backfire:

    -installing aftermarket exhaust without re-jetting the carbs, causing lean condition.

    -carbs out of adjustment, causing lean condition

    -holes in exhaust system

    -loose exhaust flange bolts
