    my 750 f/d arrived still atached to the swingarm and when I pulled it off this is what I found, it seems like I can clean this off but should this part be this rusty or should I be worried
    ??

    hi Garth,

    If the seal is OK, it should work. The 750 tends to pick up rust here since the lube is all held internally. Once you have it installed on your 11, that area will always be covered in grease.

      Yes you should..........But not about the rust or the conversion.
      I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

        750 fd

        Unlike the 11 fd, the 750 fd lubricates it's splines with gear oil instead of grease, so it is possible that water got inside the unit thru those little holes by the pinion nut. I would take off the filler bolt (6mm allen) and the drain plug (19mm hex), see if anything drains out. Look in those holes with a flashlight and see if it's all gunked up.
