      thanks all, i had 2 1/2 ltrs to much oil. lol all fixed now, no leaking

        Hi Cowboy,

        Dead right. Level must be correct with the engine off, bike level. There will be less in the bottom end when it is running, since some will be circulating the engine.

        When you do an oil and filter change, and set the level correctly, you will find that the level drops after the first time the engine is started. It will then need topped up, as the engine has to fill all the passages which have drained.

        The rest of the time, the level should come back up a few minutes after the engine has stopped, as it all drains back to the sump.
