    Egleaves,
I just purchaseed the XS pods through partsnmore for $12.00 a copy and they ship at a flat rate of $5.00. The bad thing is they only prep and ship two days a week and they are in Canada, (for us Yankees). Cassie, who works in billing told me if ordered on Sunday should receive on Thursday or Friday.

Go here > http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread...&pagenumber=11 > to see, that there are two different postings on the page of this thread~~discussing the individual filters "that won't work"; ordered from two different sources. One of the postings (by me)~~I had gotten the filters from PartsNMore. (??) Maybe they've changed 'em by now. If not, they won't work.

        JCarlton,

The ones I purchased are for my sons XS650 and they are also Mikuni Carbs. We fired it up after tearing it dopwn a bvit and it fired right up, however we have yet to tune or sync carbs.
I had read somwher on here the small cone shaped pod filters were a problem is this also true with the "XS" pod filters??

It won't matter whether it's cone shaped or oval shaped if the rubber shoulder is "made" wrong. It'll block some of the holes at the throat of the carb where it goes up onto. Did you not click onto the http clickie thread above , and read the page?

I have the crappy pods that partially block the holes on the carbs. I don't even know what brand they are, but I recall Trbig posting some pictures recently of the pods that seem to always cause this problem, and sure enough, they looked exactly like mine. I've seen pics of the throat of the XS pod and these other pods side by side and XS is the clear winner.

The bike will more than likely "fire right up" and run just fine at idle with those holes blocked, but get it out on the road and you'll notice a lot of sputtering at high revs when the holes are blocked.
I know this, because Tyler knows this.
