    Taller gears or bigger wheel?

I am strongly considering getting some longer legs for my XS.

I have a 17 inch rim from a standard (presumably) which would give a taller ratio. It looks to be a fairly straight forward swap.

Also considering the final drive swap from a 750. I have seen some go for very decent prices, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

My question is, which would be better? What kind of difference is there between the 1100 and 750 gears?

As a reference, I am just shy of 5000 rpm at 75 mph. What can I expect as a difference with the 750 gears?
    Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.

    About 300rpm less.

Although it doesn't sound like much, most who have done the swap claim it made thier bikes completely different...

If I was you, I'd do both. I already have the 17" rear wheel, and my 750FD is in the shed, waiting for install.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

I already had the 17" wheel on my standard. When I swapped to the 750 drive it dropped my rpm 600 at 75. At 100mph it dropped about 800.
