  • I have Bridgestone Spitfires on my 80' XS1100. They're classified as sport/touring. I selected "sport" in the poll because of how I use them. Riding around the wooded roads of Connecticut, I am able to confidently lean the bike down far enough for the center stand to scrape pavement. I have used Spitfires before on my Honda VF1100 Magna and was also able to achieve the full range of leaning angles quite effortlessly.

I have no grievances about this tire. It's sticky, the center is made of more durable material than the sides to allow for even wear, it's cost effective, and it's reasonably good on the highway.

For an extended highway trip, I'd invest in some Metzler 880's like I had on my Goldwing. They're nice and heavy and made it 5000 miles to Alaska without a single reasonable problem. I say "reasonable" because they do not hold their grip on a flooded road during a hailstorm.
