Which seats are interchangeable with the 1980 1100 Special?
Mine is rotten and finding a replacement is proving nigh-on impossible..

Hey Bob,
The 80 and 81 specials are very similar and the seats have the same deeper side profile above the side cover!
However, IF your seat PAN is intact, then you have some other options, like getting a replacement seat cover kit...OR find a local upholstery shop and have it restuffed and recovered!!!
Recent threads provided places for getting it done professionally, but they are in the USA, not the UK!

Have you considered stripping off the cover, buffing up the pan with a wire wheel, and patching it up with some long strand fiberglass reinforced body killer, AKA Kitty Hair ? I did this with one my seatpans and was quite pleased with the results.Originally posted by bobtheimp
