I've a Windjammer fairing for a 79SF. I worked up some drawings in Powerpoint but I'm not sure how to get them up on the site. Can you open that?

Good morning Darrell, There's nothing to open.

While we work out the posting details, my email address is stan@hutchgroup.org Send me the info as an attachment and I'll review your drawings. I'm hopeing I can take the bracket for the Honda and modify it to fit my '80 XS Midnight Special.

I don't have a Google account to access your gmail. Is there anyway I can upload a file to this site?

                  Windjammer Mounting bracket

I just pulled a fairing off of a 79 special and can make a CAD drawing of the bracket for you if you would like. Are you looking for a drawing of the bracket that mounts on the frame just above the valve covers?
I am leaving for business in Reno tomorrow through Sunday and will have it for you on Monday.
Give me a nod if you want the drawing.

Thanks for the offer...Darrel (newc4) made a GREAT set of drawings. I'm hoping in about two weeks to do some welding and modify the honda bracket to fit. If I have any questions, while I garage engineer an XS1100 Special bracket, I'll send you a note.

This forum has a lot of helpful, talented people. Thanks. Stan

Yeah, newc4 put together some good drawings, but if one of you wants to take a few pictures from a couple different angles and post them that would be cool. I've not been able to find a good picture of just the bracket and sometimes its nice to have a picture of the "finished' product as well as the drawings.

I've also broken newC4's drawings down to individual pages and I'm going to try posting them up. Not trying to steal the credit for them, just might make it easier if future folks don't have to jump to the other list and register and everything to get to them.

you can't have the fairing cause its on my 850, but I do still have the mount which is for an XS 1100.

There was an owners manual which was in the fairing; I sent it to one of the members here.
