First off, I'd like to thank everyone for being so helpful with my other problems.. With that being said, I need some more help. I've been reviving a 1980 XS11LG. So far so good. Went through carbs, adjsuted floats, assured proper jets, synced, replaced carb holders and it runs quite strong. However, I can't seem to get a decent idle out of it. Seems to rev up. I can choke it out and get it back to sanity, but as soon as shes twisted, it holds up in the 2.5k range. Seems vacuum leaky to me, but I can't find any for the life of me. Doesnt seem to matter if it's warm or not. It's bugging me... more so cuz' it's my only bike and this one is a blast to ride!!! I appreciate the help guys!

Planedick ...
just fixed this on a bike belonging to our friend, Scott. The bike is an F though. He needs to weigh in here .... but ... I think he had a incorrect pilot jet or jets with a similar numbering to the original but a very different size hole in it ??? Possibly for a different style of Mik. carb?? Maybe he'll see this one and verify or correct ...80G Mini-bagger

Do your carb sync and idle adjustment while the engine is at full temp. Do those jobs as so as you return from a ride of at least 1/2 an hour.

Thanks guys. I'm positive on the pilot size and havent found any vacuum leaks. Seems like I check it a couple times a day hoping if there is a small one, it will grow and reveal itself. But I think I'll try the warm sync.... the bike was'nt very warm first time around. I'll keep ya' posted Thanks!1980 XS1100LG
