Not exactly true, the battery has to have enough charge to fire the TCI/coil or you won't get any spark. I think thats like 10 volts and my bike still cranks over just fine, but a bit slow, at 10 volts.

I can't find anything in the picture. My eyes are always drawn to that little green wire below the side cover. Once I noticed it I can't stop looking at it.

Little green wire is for the blinker (ground). I installed LED turn signals and the old blinker didn't like them. So, I've got an electronic blinker - it does not have a self-cancelling input, but it works nicely.

And as for cranking ability - it does not want to crank when the battery is too week, but I still can start it with a good kick. Probably alternator helps after it starts spinning.

        Hi Dimulec,
sorry about all the "ifs" but did you mix'n'match Standard triple trees and Special fork legs? Doing that will really quicken the bike's steering. Many would say, too quick for safety.
While we are talking safety, wear a good quality disposable cartridge breathing mask when you paint your tank. Breathing those solvents will rip your lungs out.

Yes, I do use standard triple trees with special forks. It required a lot of changes otherwise. I understand that this configuration reduces the trail a bit, but really, it did not feel unstable.
