Handlebar switches?

I was wondering if anybody could tell me weather or not the handlebar switches (ie. turn signal, high low beam,. headlight on off and engine 'run' off) are the same on the standard and the special and if years make a different. I am asking because I am haveing problems with mine and I found someone that has some for a special and I have a 78E

I do not know what the differences are, but I know that some of the switches include lights on the run/stop/start side. I'm sorry I cannot help more, but I do know there is a difference. RB
