I ordered a clutch side headlight high/low beam switch from Mikes XS and now realize something.I don't think that the XS 650 has a hazard switch like my XS 1100 SG.Am i wrong? If i am how is the return policy? Will this work? The biggest thing is the lack of hazard lights.Any suggestions?

    Hey Yam,

You're right, the 650 doesn't have an ER flasher switch or circuit!

You have 2 options. Without the switch, any vehicle inspector will NOT know that it has/had one and won't require you to show/activate it!

MikesXS return policy is pretty good from what I've heard, but you don't want to mention that you got the part for an XS11!

Another option, like what I did when I got an older handleswitch from an earlier XS11 that didn't have the ER flasher switch, was to find the wires that are used for it...it's been a long time since I did this, so I didn't make any diagrams! I used a DPDT switch, spliced wires to the flasher circuit, ran then along the frame to the left side panel, mounted the switch under there where I could easily reach it without taking the side cover off, and so I have my ER flashers.

TC have you ever used them? Just wondered as I don't think I have ever used them on any bike ever.

I've used them a few times. Once when we were on the highway trying to find a part that dropped off of a friend's Shadow, once same thing except Harley part fell off, and in Parades.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

No good-I looked at the new piece from Mikes XS.It has 2 male connectors on it.My original piece has female connectors.I could change everything to fit but don't want to.It will go back to them.My mistake.I will wait for the part from Andreas Weiss.
